NBHSA will again be providing the opportunity for you to have your child(ren) tested using the nationally normed student achievement test, Stanford Achievement Test. The test will span three days from 9am to approximately noon. The dates for the test are April 21-23, 2021. The test is for children in first through twelfth grade. This test is one way you can satisfy the Florida law requiring an annual evaluation to be submitted to the Brevard County Superintendent's office. Check the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) or the Florida Parent Educator's Association (FPEA) website for additional options to satisfy this requirement.
Submission of registration form and payment (Venmo to @nbhsa-ace, please comment Testing 2021 at time of payment) must be complete by March 9th. No late registrations can be accepted. Please print and complete the forms below. Please submit your forms in person during ACE at First Baptist Church of Mims. Non-ACE participants may mail registration forms to Judy Hamilton, 4255 Sugar Maple Court, Titusville, FL 32780. The cost for the test is $60 for participants of ACE and $75 for non-participants (1st-3rd grades price to be determined based upon registration numbers. We will be in touch with anyone registering a child in these younger grades) .
All parents will be required to participate in the testing process as a volunteer for at least one and at the most two days. Parent roles include helping with children of teachers/parents under testing age, assisting a teacher in the classroom with small tasks and keeping a watchful eye, signing children in/out, or room setup and take down.
