Deimeke, Sharise

Although I have a Bachelors of Science in Nursing, I have spent many years enjoying the theatrical experience. For most of my young life I enjoyed dance, musical theater, and drama. I am excited to pass along my love for the arts to the Homeschool community.

Ferraro, Pamela

My husband went to a Ligonier Ministry conference in the early 90’s. I stayed home with our baby. When he came home and told me about the conference, one of the things he mentioned was that during worship, there was a woman that moved her hands like a ballet to the words. I was so touched by his description of the event that I went to the local library, checked out a signing dictionary and started teaching myself to sign. My only purpose was for worship songs. I quickly discovered that this led me to study the words I was singing to God and to broaden my focus to scripture, everyday life vocabulary and teaching our baby girl sign language. This is way before “baby sign.” I also found that it helped me to remember things through visual & tactical learning. One church we attended offered classes and I took the “Joy of Signing” class, which ended in selecting a song and signing it for the class. Later, I took a class from the signing ministry “Rock the Silence.” I also have taken ASL I and ASL II from BCC under Sharon Good. I have attended a “silent retreat” sponsored by the Southern Baptist convention and also taken an Interpreter’s session led by Carter Beardon, a renowned Deaf Minister.

I have been sharing my love of sign since I started learning. I have held classes for all ages in a variety of venues. Helped encourage a seniors program in Eglin AFB at Bob Hope Village for my mom. Nearly every year I have the privilege to sign for them. My mother has a signing group and the Bob Hope Village has procured a wonderful person, Anna, to help the seniors learn to communicate in sign. I developed and facilitate “Silent Bingo” through the Port St. John Children’s Library. Its purpose is to open awareness while having fun of sign language, its benefits and Deaf Culture. I also offer periodic classes at the library that help the students to use their skills and help volunteer in the community. At our church, Coastal Community Church, we started a signing the message. Our goal is to provide the Deaf with the blessing of options to come and hear the gospel through our church. We have found that the signing has blessed the Hearing and opened up opportunities for them to learn sign language and develop relationships with the Deaf. Our church youth group band even includes a signer, our daughter, as part of their ministry.

Focht, Michael

I am Michael Focht and will be joining the Tuesday crew to teach Chemistry for the first time this coming year. I am currently the 6-8th grade science teacher at Park Avenue Christian Academy and have been for more than 6 years! I started my teaching career in Philadelphia, PA after college and a few years of environmental consulting. I absolutely loved it and knew that God had placed this profession in my heart. Proceeded to teach outdoor and environmental education for the next 4 years throughout the U.S. To support my education habit, I joined the Air National Guard as a Meteorologist. During a training period in FL, I met my wife, from Titusville, and eventually settled here!

I am excited to work with older students for a change as my entire teaching career has been with middle school age. I am also excited to share my passion for the sciences!

Hare, Stacey

I graduated after 12 years of homeschooling in 2007. I have an A.A. degree from BCC, and I will be completing my B.A. in History at UCF in December 2011. I attend First Baptist Church of Merritt Island. My life goal is to homeschool my future children, but for now, I would love to start teaching at Tuesday Co-op.

Headley, Deirdre

Deirdre has a JCD in Art, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology (with a minor in Art), and will graduate with her Masters of Arts in Teaching this October, 2010. She has also studied under Mona Brooks in order to teach Mona's "Monart Method" of teaching, which has proven to be quite an effective teaching strategy for art. She has been teaching art in Christian Schools and Home School settings for almost 20 years.

Klotzbach, Danielle

Danielle Klotzbach has her Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education with a specialization in Early Childhood and Science from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She was also an active member of the Speech and Debate team in college and won awards at both the state and national level. She taught grades Kindergarten through fourth grades for several years in Christian schools. She is currently a homeschool mother of three. Her passion is for science and has been teaching at Tuesday Co-op for two years. This past year she taught two science classes ranging in age from four up to ten. She organized and taught a summer camp program exposing kids to cultures around the world though literature and hands-on learning. She has also directed and produced two plays involving Tuesday Co-op students. She has an excitement for homeschooling and helping children to realize and flourish in their God given talents by igniting a spark for learning.

Biography:
Tisa Marsh (formerly Teresa Vieth) has taught music classes at Tuesday Co-op for three years immensely enjoying the students and families as well as the dramas and presentations. She currently serves as Music Director at The Pentecostals of Titusville as well as teaching private voice and piano lessons. She is a certified teacher with the State of Florida for Music K-12. She also taught early childhood music for nine years. She and her husband, Darrell, and two children, Bethany and Carson have been in Titusville for three years.

Merwin, Kim

Kim has been in home-education for eleven years, teaching her four children ages 16 to 5 years old. She attended Southeastern University for two years and has been married for twenty years to her husband Tim. This will be her first year participating in Tuesday Co-op and her first time teaching "Adventures in Literature" using the "Teaching the Classics/Socratic Method," but she can't wait to get started!

Moros, Kricket

Mrs. Moros has been playing the violin since age two. Having studied the Suzuki method of violin, she has been trained in the Classical style of music . She understands the benefits of early ear training, which will encourage other areas of education as well.

Morrison, Matthew

I am teaching guitar lessons. I have taken lessons for 5+ years and play on our church and youth worship teams. Lessons can be at your home, depending on your location. $10 for 30 minutes weekly or bi-weekly.

My name is Kellene Murdick. I am a homeschool mom, American Heart Association CPR instructor and RN. I have been teaching CPR and working as a nurse for 14 years.
