NBHSA will again be providing the opportunity for you to have your children tested using the nationally normed student achievement test, Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS).  This test is one way in which you can satisfy the Florida law requiring an annual evaluation to be submitted to the superintendent’s office. Check the Florida Parent Educators Association (FPEA) website for additional options to satisfy this requirement.

Registration

Registration Form General Instructions

Sign-up for the ITBS must be complete by March 15. No late registrations can be accepted. Print the registration form and complete it and return it in a sealed envelope to Carrie Backus with a check or cash for the full amount. You may drop it at Tuesday Co-op at FBCM or through snail mail to Carrie Backus, 4170 Hickory Lake Ct., Titusville, FL, 32780.

Parent Participation

Parents will also be required to participate in the testing process as a volunteer for at least one and at the most two days. Parent roles include helping with children of teachers and helpers under kindergarten age, assisting a teacher in the classroom, signing children in/out, and room setup and take down.

Teachers

If you are a Florida certified teacher and would be interested in working with NBHSA in this endeavor, please contact Sharise Deimeke at your earliest convenience.
